Moldable Culture

Sias Boli
Jorge Alvarado

The idea of this exercise with plasticine was to capture popular phrases from Costa Rica.
"Sias Boli" is an expression of the street. It’s used when a person is very smug, loud and doesn’t care what he says. It was my wish that could be recognized by as many people as possible, it was there that I thought of Albino, a controversial trade unionist with more than 20 years of career.

Art direction and photograpy try to dramatize people's feelings of rejection for Albino.

There's this poor dude in Lilo & Stitch who gets his ice cream thrown to the ground in various scenes. I used that reference to reflect the shame that the word is supposed to give.
